Immediately following the
ceremony, a reception will be held at the Granny Had One Restaraunt
located at 113 W Harrison
in Guthrie.This
charming restaraunt is housed in a beautiful Victorian-style brick
building built in 1891. Over the years the building
was
used as a hardware store, a cigar factory and even an auto parts store,
but in 1990 it became the home-cooking restaraunt known today as
"Granny Had One". You can read more about the restaraunt and its
history by visiting www.grannyhadone.biz.
The
restaraunt was recently purchased by business partners Benjamin Coffin
and Stephanie Hastings. Ben, a Guthrie native, was educated at Le
Cordon Bleu culinary school in England and in addition to being
co-owner of Granny Had One, is now the head of catering
for Oklahoma State University. Stephanie, also a Guthrie
native,
owns Hastings Steakhouse located at 312 W Oklahoma where she serves
freshly milled whole wheat bread, mouth watering steaks and delicious
dark chocolate chunk cookies. We are very excited about the menu we
have prepared with Ben and Stephanie and we're sure you'll enjoy every
single bite!
I am also very excited to announce that Mark
Phillips & IIIrd Generation bluegrass band will be entertaining
during the reception. This is the band that Scott toured with while in
college. Mark and the guys are amazing musicians and always put on a
great show. I have no doubt that those of you who aren't bluegrass fans
will be after this show! If you want to know more about the band or
listen to clips you can visit their website at www.thirdgenerationbluegrassband.com.
